Welcome to Nook
The open source client relationship and case management tool for community energy groups.
Entry-level case management and impact reporting dedicated to UK energy advisors.
We spent a lot of time working with community energy organisations across the country to understand the ins and outs of managing cases throughout the entire energy advice journey. By listening closely to energy advisors and understanding their needs, we gathered invaluable insights. We believe Nook has the potential to make a meaningful difference for energy advisors, their teams, and the clients they support.

Why Use Nook CRM for Energy Advice?
Intuitive and Easy to Learn
Our designer has worked hard to make Nook as intuitive as possible—even for people with little to no experience using a CRM. Many organisations rely on volunteers of varying ages and digital skills, so we’ve ensured that Nook works for everyone, regardless of their tech confidence.
Clear Task Management
Energy advisors and their teams can stay on top of their work with personalised dashboards. These highlight priority tasks linked to active cases, making it clear where to start and which cases need urgent attention. This helps reduce the mental load of tracking case updates and ensures no case is left behind.
Waiting List Feature
New cases awaiting triage are organised in one simple table, giving you all the information you need to decide on the next steps quickly and efficiently.
Fully Customisable Journey
Every energy advice organisation has its own way of working. That’s why Nook CRM adapts to your unique energy advice journey. You won’t need to overhaul your processes to fit the system—it works for you, not the other way around.
Case Journey Overviews
View cases as a timeline to track progress at a glance or as a comprehensive list that can be filtered by different fields. Our research shows this flexibility is a favourite for users who like working with tables.
Custom Fields for Projects
Different funders often have different requirements. With Nook, you can add custom fields for specific projects (funders) to ensure you’re collecting and reporting the right data.
Powerful Search Capabilities
Search by name, postcode, telephone number, or email address. This helps to avoid issues caused by simple typos that could make it hard to find a client’s details. In the long run, this helps reduce duplicate records by ensuring advisors can quickly locate existing client information without needing to create a new entry.
Notes and Attachments
Record detailed free-text notes for each client, complete with the ability to attach photos or documents. Notes are displayed chronologically, creating a comprehensive history of each case. This means better-tailored advice and support for clients.
Easier Team Collaboration
Tag team members in notes to facilitate handovers or flag specific details. Tagged colleagues will see it in their personal dashboards, ensuring nothing gets missed. Energy advice is truly a team effort!
Flexible Reporting
Generate and export data tailored to specific projects (funders). You can also extract data on tasks linked to cases, providing insights into interventions, timelines, and team members involved in energy advice. This flexibility supports both internal analysis and external reporting requirements.
